ABSTRACT


This study compares scores of spondee words recognition, vowel recognition and CID sentences understanding in quiet and in noise with two different speech coding strategies for cochlear implants.

The results show that the understanding with the CIS and ACE strategy, in quiet was not significantly different. Understandings in noise were least  reduced for both strategies. when the ratio of SIN was 10 dB.

This study shows the result of the patient that implanted with split electrode after meningitis and total ossified cochlea, among the other patient.
