ABSTRACT Following the successful cochlear implantation in adults and by gaining experience in rehabilitating the patient ,we began the cochlear implantation program in children. Patients' ages ranged from 6 to 10 years. Two of them were prelingually deaf and two other patients were perlingually deaf due to their meningitis and trauma. The most suitable age for starting the surgery was considered to be 3 years of age .
