ABSTRACT The I.I.S.R.D. Cochlear Implantation program, by using MSP 22 device for postlingul adult patients, started 1993. The same program started for children in 1995 Since that time (1993) for over 100 cochlear implantation has been performed. In this article the results obtained from 45 children are reported, for the 25 recent children who have undergone the surgery formal evaluation has been performed after implantation. Their range is form 22 months to 16 years and months at time of implantation . Children's speech perception ,speech production and language performance assessment shows no signific ant variability among children. Speech perception was evaluated through a Persian version of the early speech perception test (ESP), CID speech reading test and spondee word test . The language performance was evaluated by Persian version of UTLD test. The results of the mentioned tests and rehabilitation the implanted children made the basis of this article .
